Portland Hotels
Life in Portland, Oregon is rosy, and it is, in fact, known as “The City of Roses” for its many rose gardens, including the International Rose Test Garden. But the city isn't all red and yellow flowers - it has also been called the “most green city in the United States” and second in the world for its environmentally friendly practices. This includes many of the hotels which use state-of-the-art environmental practices.
Portland is Oregon's largest city in terms of population and is situated near where the Willamette and Columbia Rivers meet. The city's location next to rivers, the distant mountains - including Mt. St. Helen's and Mt. Hood, which can be seen in the distance from various locations in the city - and the Pacific Ocean, less than 90 miles to the west, makes it a perfect destination spot for outdoor adventurers.
The fact that the city is known for its large arts community also draws many people interested in arts and culture to the area.
